Meet Pip, an original holiday visitor. These prepared examples use fictional Riley and the same printable letterhead and PDF exporter available in the app. No account or particular toy is needed to try them.

A Holiday Elf arrival letter

Introduce your own elf and one small invitation. Choose an arrival date that works for your family.

Dear Riley, Hello from the snowy end of a very long train ride! I am Pip, your holiday visitor. My suitcase holds one woolly scarf, three peppermint crumbs, and a notebook waiting for our December adventures. Shall we begin with something small? Pick a favorite story to read together tonight. I will be imagining all the places its pages can take us. There is no perfect way to make a holiday. A little kindness and time together are a wonderful start. Happy to be here, Pip

A daily Holiday Elf note

Keep it short. Mention something that really happened, then suggest a simple activity rather than a reward.

Dear Riley, My scarf got caught on my suitcase this morning. I pulled one end, then the other, and somehow tied a magnificent knot! A slow breath and another try helped me sort it out. Your grown-up told me you kept going with your tricky puzzle yesterday. That kind of patience is worth celebrating. Today's tiny invitation: ask someone if they would like a hand. Even an elf with a very small suitcase can use a little help. With peppermint wishes, Pip

A Holiday Elf goodbye letter

Recall one real shared memory. Leave a warm ending without promising a gift or a particular return date.

Dear Riley, My little suitcase is packed, and it is time for me to head home. I am taking the memory of our story nights and your wonderfully curious questions. Those are treasures that do not need wrapping paper. Thank you for making room for a small visitor and a few silly adventures. Keep reading, keep asking questions, and keep finding little ways to be kind. Our holiday visit may be ending, but the good things we practiced can travel with you into the new year. One last peppermint wish, Pip
